BARVARIAN BIER CAFE AT MANLY WHARF

BARVARIAN BIER CAFE AT MANLY WHARF

This is my favorite restaurant. This is where you get real meals of substance and quality. The fit out is post and beam, tongue and groove timber ambience with super comfortable booths. Dress circle tables along the wharf are an absolute treat. Warm friendly staff with good service and fabulous bavarian beers. Highly recommend $15 schnitzel challenge on Tuesday night for the family. If you can eat the whole schnitzel (yes its BIG) you get a free schnapps!

This is a unique dining experience for those that have tried everything else and are looking for something completely different. The decor transports you to another land as you luxuriate in the booths that are decorated in rich African tapestries and quaint cushions. The menu with a modern Moroccan theme will definitely seduce the risk takers. Nothing normal about this place, so expect the unexpected.

WATERVUE RESTAURANT, MANLY CORSO

Good food fast at the right price. This is the place to eat in Manly if you're more interested in surfing and shopping. Set in the heart of Manly Corso, sit down to a massive T-Bone or fish and chips for about thirteen bucks. Fully licensed bar, you are just about guaranteed instant satisfaction.   The Bower Restaurant at Fairy Bower, Manly

THE BOWER RESTAURANT AT FAIRY BOWER, MANLY

My second kitchen. Without a doubt the best breakfast in Manly, and that is saying something. This is a venue favoured by the girls for their long lunches. Shelley Beach is the prettiest beach in Sydney. Located on the forefront of Cabbage Tree Marine Reserve, you can bring your swimmers and goggles and have a dip and marvel at the abundant marine life just a few metres away. This is the place to go if you really want to feel good and just relax. Let Jamil and his staff do it for you, satisfaction guaranteed.

DOYLE'S AT WATSONS BAY

Nobody does fish better than Doyle's at Watson's Bay. Set in a very picturesque fishing villiage, possibly the prettiest port in Sydney harbour, whatever you desire in fish cuisine can be had at Doyle's. The restaurant offers fine cuisine, while the pub and beer garden have menus in the mid-price range. And they have the best take away fish and chips in Sydney. Seriously, where else can you get a seafood platter for $15 that feeds two people? The fish is ALWAYS fresh at Doyles.

RIPPLES, CHOWDER BAY

In its first season Ripples has had a Tsunami like impact on Chowder Bay. This used to be Sydney's best kept secret. That's all history now! Undoubtedly one of the most picturesques of locations on the harbor foreshores. Ripples have perhaps the largest breakfast menu I have seen. This is complimented with a menu that covers the entire fine food spectrum. Very reasonably priced and the fit out has to be seen to be appreciated. A definite "must do". Be sure to book!

  CATALINA AT ROSE BAY

CATALINA AT ROSE BAY

A must for the connoisseur. With a fabulous view over the Seaplanes water take off zones in Rose Bay, this open plan minimalist decor venue is high powered. Zegna suits and diamoned necklaces are not uncommon amongst the wealthy that patronize this long established blue chip venue. Between Judy the owner and Tim the Maitre De nothing is left to chance, not even your name. Catalina's has stood the test of time and still keeps sparkling. Try it I hope you will love the experience as I did.

ROSE BAY PIER RESTAURANT

Seldom does a restaurant have a roaring trade on Mondays. That in itself is testimony to how well this restaurant is performing. With a mouth watering dessert menu, and mains that could (and do) melt the tongues of even other restaurateurs, Rose Bay puts forward a compelling case. Be sure to book as Rose Bay Pier is definitely flavour of the month.

OTTO'S AT WOOLLOOMOOLO

Otto's has always been the pace setter in this neck of the woods. First in best dressed in not always the case. However Otto's is definitely the benchmark in the highly competitive environment along Finger Street Wharf at Woolloomooloo. This is the place to spot the celebrities and they would not be there unless the food was excellent. You just don't survive here unless you are good, and Otto's is very, very good.
